Director of Emergency Medical Services – Dorchester County

Due to an imminent retirement, Dorchester County is currently seeking an experienced public safety/medical professional to direct and supervise the
activities and operations of the EMS department.
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that services provided are state-of-the-art and in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations,
protocols and standards of quality and safety.
Successful candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, management or closely related field.
Requires at least eight years of related work experience including management experience. Must maintain Paramedic certification, ACLS Instructor, ITLS Instructor, PALS certification and a valid state driver’s license.
