Florence County EMS - Seeking Paramedics

FLORENCE COUNTY EMS IS GROWING July 7, 2017 Florence County Council recently approved 20 new full-time positions for the EMS Department. As a result, we are seeking highly motivated and experienced paramedics to staff two new ALS ambulances. Included in the recent County Council action was a market adjustment to EMS salaries. Base EMT salary was increased by 5%. Advanced EMT salary was increased by 10%. Salaries for positions which require paramedic certification were increased by 15%. Starting full-time salaries are: EMT Crew Member - $30,254 annual, $10.57 hourly Advanced EMT Crew Member – $36,480 annual, $12.75 hourly Paramedic Crew Member - $44,869 annual, $15.68 hourly Paramedic Crew Chief – $48,362 annual, 16.90 hourly. Full-time employees work a modified 24 hours on / 72 hours off schedule (employees are scheduled for a total of eight 24 hour shifts per twenty-eight day scheduling period). Some overtime is available.
