Marion County EMS - Part Time Employment Opportunities
Marion County is looking for EMTs, Advanced and Paramedics for part time employment.
General Statement of Duties
Under general supervision performs an assortment of duties necessary in administering first aid treatment to and transporting sick/injured persons to medical facilities. Operates vehicle, prepares reports, conducts general housekeeping activities etc. Exercises judgement in dealing with patients and in various situations. Strives to ensure prompt response to emergency calls. Works under stressful, high-risk conditions, works on an on call basis. Reports to Director of Emergency Services/Paramedic.
High school diploma and certification as an Emergency Medical Technician - any level, with two years of experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provided the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Must hold required certifications including CPR. Must have a valid South Carolina Driver’s license and be at least twenty-one years of age. Must also submit to pre-employment drug screening.
